The route differs, so pick the one that describes you. If you are not sure, write to us anyway and we will work it out.
You received a call or WhatsApp message
A business used Bayanova to contact you. That business decides what happens to your data — we only process it for them. So:
- Fastest: ask the business that contacted you to delete your record. They can do it immediately.
- Or write to us at hello@synapsebeam.com with the subject Data Deletion Request. We will identify the business, pass your request on, and confirm once it is done.
Include in your email:
- The phone number that was contacted.
- The approximate date of the call or message, and the name of the business if you know it.
- Whether you also want to opt out of future contact.
Opting out is not the same as deleting. If you want no further contact, say so explicitly — we keep a minimal suppression record (your number and the opt-out date) precisely so that you are not contacted again. Deleting that record entirely would remove the protection.
You hold a Bayanova account
- Delete individual contacts or conversations from the dashboard at any time.
- To delete the whole account, email hello@synapsebeam.com from the address registered on the account, with the subject Account Deletion Request.
- Export anything you want to keep first. Once deletion runs it cannot be reversed.
What gets deleted
- Contact records — name, phone number, email and custom fields.
- Call recordings and transcripts.
- WhatsApp message content.
- Conversation outcomes and captured fields.
- For account deletion: user profiles, settings and API keys.
What we keep, and why
We cannot delete everything, and it is better that you know this before you ask than after.
- Suppression records — number and opt-out date, kept so you are not contacted again.
- Billing and tax records — retained as long as Indian tax law requires, currently eight years.
- Aggregated statistics — counts and durations that carry no personal identifier.
- Data under legal hold — anything we are required to preserve for an investigation or dispute.
How long it takes
- Acknowledgement: within 3 working days.
- Deletion from live systems: within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
- Removal from encrypted backups: up to a further 35 days, as backups are rotated and overwritten. They are not accessible for ordinary use during that window.
Verification
We will ask you to confirm control of the phone number or email address in the request. This protects you: without it, anyone could delete someone else’s data. We ask for the minimum needed and never for identity documents.
If you are unhappy with the outcome
Reply to our response and ask for it to be escalated. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU or UK.
